Ang Iglesia Metodista . . . through the valley with Christ
"This one thing let us do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are ahead, let us press toward the mark, for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 3:13-14); crying unto him day and night, till we also are "delivered from the bondage of corruption, into the glorious freedom of the children of God!" (Romans 8:21)
John Wesley, A Plain Account of Christian Perfection, 1872

EPIPHANY OF SOCIAL HOLINESS
You shall be holy, for I the LORD your God am holy. . .When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap to the very edges of your field, or gather the gleanings of your harvest. You shall not strip your vineyard bare, or gather the fallen grapes of your vineyard; you shall leave them for the poor and the alien : I am the LORD your God. (Leviticus 19 : 1, 9-10) For all things are yours, the world or life or death or the present or the future--all belong to you, and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God. (1 Corinthians 3:21-23) Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect. (Matthew 5:48)
The gospel of Jesus Christ knows no religion but social, no holiness but social holiness. (John Wesley)

As we journey on through the valley...with Christ, let us bring the books we read, the songs we sing, the reflections we write,
the pictures we keep and the people we love.
