Every Member, a Fellow-Worker

We are gardeners and field workers laboring with God. (1 Corinthians 3:9)

Every member is a fellow-worker, promoting the Co-op cause in the field; planning/directing Co-op present and future projects in the Board Room; and attending to day-to-day business in the front office. We all trust that our set of values will help us achieve our individual responsibilities as fellow-workers in the service of God, of the Co-op, and of the people. Our chosen values of openness and voluntarism compel us to check on one another to promote personal and organizational growth. Add to these honesty, concern for others and self-responsibility and we should have an ideal  performance evaluation system that should serve our Co-op well. [Alex L. Saclayan, Turning Values into Habits, 2011]

KABISIG COMMUNITY MULTI-PURPOSE COOPERATIVE

The organizational structure of a co-operative is presented in table form that sets forth the different positions and the relationships arising between and among the board of directors, committees, general manager and other members of the management staff. It also defines lines of authority, responsibility and accountability within the organization.

[Elenita S. Mantalaba, CPA, Basic Accounting for Credit Cooperatives, Revised Edition, 2009]

Co-operative Governance commonly refers to the main function of the Board of Directors of general policy direction; development planning and oversight of all Co-operative affairs as prescribed by the By-laws and authorized by the General Assembly while Co-operative Management refers to care and control of cooperative business operation and a domain delegated to the General Manager and the Management Team
